Thai-inspired vegetarian dish made with JuJu Royal Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Plant-based food can’t taste any better.

Seitan

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped
  • 12 bamboo skewers
  • 1 pack of seitan strips or chunks
  • 1/4 cup tamari sauce
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp JuJu Royal EVOO
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter, smooth
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

Soak bamboo skewers in water for 2 hours, to prevent burning.

In a small bowl, whisk tamari sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, sugar, garlic, cayenne pepper, and cilantro until nicely blended.

Add seitan into the marinade. Cover and refrigerate until ready to grill.

Evenly thread seitan onto skewers.

Grill 5-6 minutes on each side or until golden brown, over medium-high heat.

Remove from grill and top with peanuts and cilantro and serve with peanut dipping sauce.

Peanut Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup peanut butter, smooth
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp tamari sauce
  • 2-4 tbsp warm water
  • 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped

Instructions

In a small mixing bowl add peanut butter, hoisin sauce, tamari sauce and 2 tbsp of warm water.

For a thinner sauce add additional 2 tbsp of warm water.

Whisk until smooth.

Pour into small bowl and top with chopped peanuts.
