Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp Madagascar vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 6 tbsp JuJu Royal Ginger Honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup golden raisins
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup apricot preserves
- 1 egg and 1 tbsp milk, egg wash
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese and butter until light.
Add 1/4 cup of sugar, salt and vanilla.
With mixer on slow speed, add flour until combined.
Place dough onto a well-floured board and roll into a ball.
Cut balls into quarters, wrap each piece in plastic and refrigerate for an hour.
In a small bowl combine 6 tbsp honey, brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, raisins and walnuts.
On a well-floured board roll each dough into a 9-inch circle and 1/4 inch thick.
Spread each circle with 2 tbsp of apricot and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of walnut filling.
Press filling lightly into the dough and carefully roll up dough and tuck the corners under.
Using a piece of thread slice roll crosswise unto 1-inch wide pieces and transfer onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350.
Brush rolls with egg wash.
Mix 3 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon and sesame seeds sprinkle onto rolls.
Bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.
Place onto cooling rack.
